Catherine Grose, of Strathkelvin Instruments, well known in the US in the detection of toxicity in industrial wastewater treatment, outlined a process for optimizing the installed aeration control system while providing total compliance assurance which, on a WWTP of 100 million gallons per day, this could result in savings of between $282K and $1M a year. Having recently relocated to Pasadena from England, Catherine will explain instrumentation methods that have successfully been installed at several UK treatment works. Data from these sites was be presented.
