Facility Tour - Feb 18, 2010 - Leave 8:15am, Return 10:30am


Bus Tour of the Los Angeles Sanitation District Joint Water Pollution Control Plant

One of the world's largest and most advanced water treatment plants, the LACSD Carson facility is located within five miles of Instrumentation 2010 Expo. We will board the tour bus at the Carson Center for the tour that includes a presentation at the facility and tour of plant processes including primary and secondary treatment units, solids processing, energy production, and enhanced odor control systems. Limited space. Cameras are welcome, no special clothing is required - shorts and sandals OK. Special Note: (1) This tour is limited to 50 people and will likely be sold out in advance. (2) Payment of the tour fee ($15 for ISA members; $25 for non-members) is required in advance to reserve a seat for the tour. The fee includes lunch. (3) For safety and security reasons, only those who board the bus at Carson Center will be permitted on this tour. (Meet at Carson Center at 8:15; Returns 10-11).
